Kornél Kovács

Born in Stockholm in 1985 to Hungarian parents, Kornél Kovács grew up with formal music lessons and a family record collection that ran from Kraftwerk to King Tubby, and he was playing jungle records in clubs by the age of fourteen. In the 2000s he wrote about music, held a residency at the Stockholm night Paradise and hosted a weekly show on Swedish national radio P3. After the Red Bull Music Academy in 2008 he formed Studio Barnhus with Axel Boman and Petter Nordkvist, a studio space that became a DJ trio and then a label. His single Pantalón came out on Numbers in 2015, followed by the albums The Bells, Stockholm Marathon, made with the pop duo Rebecca & Fiona, and Hotel Koko.
