Lil' Louis

Lil' Louis (Marvin Burns) is the Chicago-born artist known as the Founding Father of House Music. He began DJing in the mid-1970s and by the 1980s was hosting the city's biggest house parties, later opening his own club, the Future. His 1987 single French Kiss became a platinum-selling international classic, hitting number one in the Netherlands and the Top 5 in the UK and Germany, and launched his 1989 debut album From the Mind of Lil' Louis on Epic. His sets draw on that same history, house music played by one of the people who built it.
