Lion Kojo

Lion Kojo was born in the late nineties to a Ghanaian father and a Dutch mother and grew up in Utrecht between his father's reggae and African records and his mother's western pop. Based in Amsterdam, he plays hip hop, R&B, soul, funk and highlife and everything in between, folding his roots into every set. That idea runs through his own club night KOMBO and his show on Operator Radio. He holds residencies at Bassline, the longest running hip hop party in the Netherlands at Paradiso, at BBQ, the hip hop and R&B night at Bitterzoet, and at FAMIRIE, the itinerant Bureau Punt event staged in Amsterdam and Berlin. Bureau Punt represents him, and he took part in the agency's radio takeover at Dekmantel Connects.
