Lipelis

Lipelis is a producer and DJ from Moscow whose edit EP on L.I.E.S. in 2015 introduced a left-field disco sound as much at home on Public Possession as beside Ron Morelli's catalogue. Public Possession later released his Bordeaux Lovin, and his records have also appeared on Mysticisms. He reworked Auntie Flo's Dance Ritual I into seven minutes of aerated bliss, and with Arsenii he runs the project Normal Position, whose funk-laced machine jam Be Honest featured the singer Gayana. His track Science & Art took its name from a DIY Moscow venue, and Mmeet, a slamming breakbeat cut washed in dreamy technoid elements, appeared on the 2022 compilation Russian Music for Peace for War Child. His tracks run ambient synth progressions and chaotic analogue stabs over a sub-heavy pulse.
