Lord Tusk

London producer and DJ Lord Tusk works mostly with hardware, and his records are hard to place: digi-dub, slow-motion house, new beat and electro all surface in them. His debut, the Natural Partnership EP, was the first release on LEVELS, the label of the London party of the same name, and moved from modern digital dub to cosmic electro and languid house. The Escape From Babylon EP followed on the same label with heavier, slower material, from slow techno to near-Drexciyan sci-fi at two thirds of the usual speed. He has since released on Apron Records, low income $quad and MIC Records, and as a DJ he favours smoky, psychedelic dub.
