LSD

LSD is the techno trio of Luke Slater, Steve Bicknell and David Sumner, better known as Function, three figures whose friendship stretches back two decades across the Atlantic. The group formed after a shared gig in 2015 and settled on a format between DJing and live performance, with each member handling separate elements and tracks so the sound is built and taken apart in real time. Their debut, the three-track Process EP, came out on Ostgut Ton, and early performances took them to ADE, Berghain and Dekmantel Festival. In 2019 the trio launched a self-titled label for their own releases. The focus is the psychedelic side of techno: long, hypnotic, heavy sets in which three distinct rhythmic sensibilities feed into one.
