LTJ Bukem

LTJ Bukem is Danny Williamson from Watford, a classically trained pianist who found jazz fusion as a teenager and carried both into drum and bass. His first record, Logical Progression, arrived in 1991, and Demon's Theme, championed by Fabio and Grooverider at Rage, led him to found Good Looking Records the same year. The label defined the atmospheric, jazz-led side of the genre, with Bukem's own Music and Horizons as its templates, the Logical Progression compilations as its document, and a residency at Speed alongside Fabio as its club home. His only artist album, Journey Inwards, explored downtempo and deep house. He plays Dekmantel Festival with Ruthless MC.
