Luke Cohlen

Luke Cohlen is a Dutch DJ whose sound moves across a varied landscape, from raw and hypnotic club music to abstract, introspective listening. Driven to put music and artists in front of new ears, he founded the label aural conduct, which works with sonic cultures from the raw and abstract to the situated and socio-political. The label favours releases that emphasise process and detail and treats each one as a collaborative experiment, with a catalogue that includes the duo Nijhof & Toonk, Salutingrome, Nour Sokhon and the compilation Invert Dance. Its motto is poetics, through sound. He hosted an hour of Dekmantel Radio on Red Light Radio and played Dekmantel Selectors in 2021.
