Mafalda

Mafalda is a Portuguese DJ based in London who plays only the records she truly loves. Hearing Sadar Bahar play a jazz tune at Corsica Studios in 2014 led her to leave Lisbon for London, where she worked at the record shop Cosmos and met Floating Points at Plastic People. She helped build his reissue label Melodies International, making its fanzines, drawing the rose on the Aged In Harmony reissue and co-running the label and events until 2019, and she remains a resident at the Melodies parties. Her radio show Tropic Of Love began on Red Bull Radio, moved to NTS and grew into a label. Her sets run through soul, gospel, jazz, house, R&B and Brazilian rarities, and she played Dekmantel Selectors in 2022 with Rebecca Vasmant.
