Magda

Born in Poland and raised in Detroit, Magda came up through the city's underground parties as a teenager and in 1998 joined Minus, touring the world as Richie Hawtin's opening DJ. Her mix She's A Dancing Machine, released on Minus in 2006, layered seventy tracks into sixteen sections, and she followed it with mixes for the Fabric and Balance series and a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. Her debut album From The Fallen Page, on Minus in 2010, drew on Italian horror scores and Detroit techno. She runs the Items & Things label with Marc Houle and Troy Pierce, shares the Cornerbred project with Daniela Huerta and the DTR edits project with Nyma, and has remixed Plastikman and Depeche Mode.
