Mala Junta
Mala Junta is a Berlin collective founded in 2018 by the friends Ana Laura Rincón, known as Hyperaktivist, Joachim Palsby, known as DJ TOOL, and Nayme Hassany, who come from Venezuela, Denmark and France. It started as a DIY reaction to the monotonous and non-inclusive trends in Berlin nightlife, a non-conforming night that puts QTPOC talent first and thrives on techno, especially its fast, old-school and sexy strains, without stopping there. The collective has since held residencies around the world and hosts its own nights at Berghain, while holding on to what it calls its core radicalness. A Mala Junta delegation of D. Dan, Hyperaktivist and DJ TOOL played the RAAF stage at Dekmantel Ten in 2024.
