Martyn

Martyn is Martijn Deijkers, born in 1975 in Geldrop and raised around Eindhoven, and based in Washington DC. He began DJing drum and bass in 1996, folded in dubstep after hearing Kode9, and released his first twelve inches in 2005. In 2007 he co-founded the 3024 label with the artist Erosie, home to his own work and to records by Jacques Greene and Leon Vynehall. His albums run from Great Lengths in 2009 through Ghost People on Brainfeeder, The Air Between Words on Ninja Tune, Voids on Ostgut Ton and Music for Existing. He holds a residency at Panorama Bar, hosts the monthly Darkest Light show on NTS and mentors producers through his Artist Mentoring Program, from which most 3024 signings now come.
