Mata Hari

Mata Hari is the earlier name of the Dutch DJ who now plays as my name is not mata and also records as pyruvicac.id, an artist who refuses to settle into one definable form. Under the first name she played Strange Sounds From Beyond in Amsterdam, PIP in The Hague and MONO in Rotterdam, and a set with Luca at Dekmantel Selectors in 2018. Her mixes are as eclectic as they are danceable, a kaleidoscope of jagged broken beat, gothic industrial, feminist spoken word, R&B and electro, with each turn opening new shapes. She has guested on NTS for Kestrel Explorations. As my name is not mata she played a back-to-back set with DJ Marcelle at Dekmantel Connects in 2020 and the UFO II stage at Dekmantel Festival in 2022.
