Matrixxman

Charles McCloud Duff, better known as Matrixxman, is a San Francisco producer and DJ whose techno is built on drums that carry the story on their own. His debut album Homesick set out that approach, and his relationship with Dekmantel runs deep: the Nubian Metropolis EP came first, followed by the three-part Sector series of 12 inches, which the label pitched as an exploration of how percussion can be symphonic. He recorded Dekmantel Podcast 123 and has played the festival's UFO stage in consecutive years, sharing the bill with Robert Hood and Randomer. His later album Identity Crisis continues the same disciplined, machine-led line.
