MCMLXXXV

MCMLXXXV is a co-founder and resident of Berlin's queer party Herrensauna. Though it has gone from local underground favourite to globe-travelling brand, it remains true to its mission of empowering people through music and community. The soundtrack is hard and dark, drawn from across the electro, techno, EBM and industrial spectrum, but for every bit of grit there is a hint of seduction. He closed Dekmantel Festival 2022 at the UFO stage with his fellow residents and has recorded for the Dekmantel podcast series. His sets are high-octane affairs: elastic, bumping rhythms with earth-quaking bass down low and everything from tribal percussion to liquid synths via sleazy vocals up top, blending the physical with the sensual into contemporary soundtracks that really bang.
