MECHATORUS

MECHATORUS is the joint project of Torus and Mechatok, built to bring a critical edge to the dancefloor. Torus, the multidisciplinary artist Joeri Woudstra from The Hague, makes largely ambient records but DJs with a maximalist streak, toying with trance and harder styles. Mechatok, known for his work with Yung Lean, Ecco2K and Bladee, explores new angles on dancehall and video game soundtracks, pairing glitzy, catchy pop with furious beats. Together they build sets from a blitzed frenzy of internet aesthetics and niche subgenres. MECHATORUS played the UFO II stage at Dekmantel Ten in 2024.
