Melina Serser

Melina Serser is a talented artist from the fertile Uruguayan scene and a graduate of DJ Koolt's DJ school. She has a passion for unearthing unknown gems from the worlds of downtempo, ethnic, jazz, funk and breakbeat and has played all over the world as a result, including Dekmantel Selectors. Her selections show a mastery of the early-evening warm-up and the late-night lounge, places where lilting rhythms and all manner of melodies slowly unfurl and cast a hypnotic spell. The grooves are dubbed out and fleshy as details come and go: prog guitars, dark leads, trippy vocal whispers. In hyperactive times of short attention spans, Serser provides perfectly slow-release pleasures.
