Melon

Melon is Jeroen Hofer, an Amsterdam DJ and producer who asked for a drum machine and an Atari computer at the age of eight to start his own band. A DJ's DJ with a collection spanning three decades of dance music, he has played Fabric, Robert Johnson and Panorama Bar, and held the monthly Ratio? residency at Trouw. His sound is timeless, muscular house. He runs the label Ratio?music, home to his Four Seasons series, and released Nitzi on Innervisions. As Je Dàvu he shows a rockier side, with I Zebra and Nr. 13 on Platzhirsch and a widely played re-edit of INXS's I Need You Tonight, and he also remixes as Don Melon. He performed live with San Proper at Dekmantel Festival 2014.
