Mirella Kroes

Mirella Kroes comes from the north of the Netherlands and is based in Amsterdam. She discovered house music at Mysteryland in 2000, at seventeen, and at nineteen started buying records with her older brother, who taught her to mix. She plays the deeper, trippier side of contemporary techno, hypnotic and transcendental records with the occasional old school dance floor driver, and gives her sets space to breathe. She held a residency at Cruquiusgilde, the raw warehouse venue in east Amsterdam, curated club nights at Shelter, ran her own night Motiv and has played Trouw, De School, Doornroosje, Bassiani, Awakenings and Lowlands. She is part of the IsBurning family and recorded a radio set for Dekmantel Connects in 2020.
