Mo Jakob

Mo Jakob is the DJ name of Richard Nazier from Rotterdam, programmer at club MONO and founder of Concentric Circles. His ears were trained by MTV, by Snow, Wu-Tang and Michael Jackson, set against the Bollywood music played at home, and he started mixing in his bedroom at twelve. He played as Salesman in 2014 before taking the Mo Jakob name a year later, and has since played 013 in Tilburg, Melkweg in Amsterdam, Paard in The Hague, BIRD and Down The Rabbit Hole. His palette runs from political hip hop to Bollywood, Detroit house to hard techno, a reflection of metropolitan fluidity. He has made weekly mixes for FunX Slowjamz and recorded a Radio by MONO session for Dekmantel Connects.
