mobilegirl

Berlin-based producer and DJ mobilegirl, the project of Bao-Tran Tran, came up through the Stockholm collective and label Staycore, whose bright, melodic take on experimental club music she helped define. Her first official release, the Poise EP on Staycore, set lilting strings, careful arrangements and finely sculpted drums against each other on tracks such as Yellow, Forest Coloss and Lone Ripple, and a remix package followed with versions by Coucou Chloe, Mechatok and KABLAM. She has also released on Carousel Records and contributed to kwia001, the first compilation from the Berlin listening space Kwia. Her DJ sets move lightly between club styles and have taken her to Australia with the CLUBHAUS party series.
