Monty DJ

Monty DJ grew up in Germany's Ruhr region and spent most of his twenties in Berlin before settling in Amsterdam in 2018. There he founded the label Flippen Disks, which has put out his own records Golden Bubbles, Flight and Tennis alongside the Flippen Bits and Flippen Wear offshoots, and he became part of the Red Light Radio community until the station closed. His father is a musician who raised him on krautrock and psychedelic rock, and he played in bands before the closing night of Trouw turned him towards club culture. His sets move between house, bass and breaks, with a taste for groove and psychedelia. He has produced remixes for Lyckle de Jong and Marma Boog and played Dekmantel Selectors in Croatia.
