Muteoscillator

Muteoscillator is an Italian producer best known for a partnership with Ksoul. The pair first surfaced on Aroy Dee's M>O>S label, also released the Aphrology EP, and Ksoul's collaboration with Morphosis on Morphine placed them in the same circle of rough, hardware-driven house. Dekmantel picked them up for the Soul Hell EP, catalogue number DKMNTL013: three tracks of crunchy, lo-fi house with overdriven basslines, static-flecked drums and jazzy keys, from the rubbery kick and distant soul of the title track to the slow, underwater melodies of Detrance. The record fits the raw end of the Dekmantel catalogue, house that is approachable enough for deep house listeners but never polished.
