Nicolini Live

Somewhere in the DIY territory between dubby wave, mutant dancehall, low-slung steppers and 180-bpm experiments sits Nicolini. The project comes from Nic Mauskovic, also known for The Mauskovic Dance Band and as one half of Devon Rexi. Nicolini is the kind of act that could soundtrack the disco in a David Lynch epoch, were it filmed in the 2020s. Live, Mauskovic performs his sonic fever dreams as a solo show: pleasantly hazy, rhythm-led and with no intent of clarifying themselves, moving between the slow and the frantic without settling in either.
