Nitzer Ebb
Nitzer Ebb formed in Essex in 1982, when school friends Vaughan Bon Harris, Douglas McCarthy and David Gooday built a name that sounded Germanic by cutting up words and letters. Their raw, drilled electronic body music came out first on their own Power Of Voice Communications label, then on Mute from 1986, and singles such as Warsaw Ghetto, Murderous and Join In The Chant crossed from industrial circles into early Chicago house and the Balearic scene. The debut album That Total Age led to support slots on Depeche Mode's Music for the Masses tour, and the albums Belief, Showtime and Ebbhead followed, the last produced by Alan Wilder and Flood. After a long break the band reunited for Industrial Complex, and they played Dekmantel Festival in 2019.
