Noizar

Noizar's sound goes far beyond conventional house or techno. The Ukrainian DJ, now based in Amsterdam, proved this over countless closing sets as a resident at Kyiv's Closer club, where he stood out for unearthing minimal techno treasures in places no one else looks. Wherever a Noizar mix crops up online, it fills with ID requests, and quite often the answer is that the track came out on his vinyl-only Wicked Bass label. His Dekmantel Mix offers a snapshot of what he does in the booth: carefully dug-out delights that do not fit the usual categories but tap into a specific deepness and groove rooted in Kyiv's minimal scene and the Closer dance floor, tight, taut body music that balances function and form.
