Occult Orientated Crime

Occult Orientated Crime is the ambient project of Danny Wolfers, the Hague producer better known as Legowelt. Where his Smackos alias drifts loose and hazy, OOC is deeper and more melodic, built on modular synthesis and intended to shift the listener's state of mind; Wolfers has described the aim as something close to ritualistic music. The project appeared on digital releases before Dekmantel gave it its first vinyl outing with the album Just A Clown On Crack, six tracks across a single 12 inch, most of them without a kick drum. It stands apart from the house and electro that made his name, and shows the range of a producer with twenty years of research behind him.
