Oceanic

Oceanic is a Rotterdam-based Dutch producer who makes distinctly modern house and techno built on attention-grabbing synths and lithe sound design. His productions are quirky and curious, full of small inventions in the groove, and have come out on the Dutch label Nous'klaer Audio, including the album Choral Feeling. He has played many sets at De School in Amsterdam, and released a live recording of an experimental ambient set from the club's auditorium. His Dekmantel Podcast started in that ambient mode before racing up to 150 bpm, with hyperactive drum programming and day-glo synths that never settle on house or techno. He played Dekmantel Selectors 2021 with Oberman and Dekmantel Festival 2022.
