Optimo

Optimo is the Glasgow DJ duo of JD Twitch and JG Wilkes, Keith McIvor and Jonnie Wilkes, who took the name from a Liquid Liquid song. From 1997 to 2010 they ran Optimo (Espacio), a weekly Sunday night at the Sub Club with a famously diverse music policy and a reputation for adventure and hedonism. They have toured Europe, America, Australia and Japan, delivered a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix in 2006, and released on Kompakt and DFA, with house, techno, electro and every kind of leftfield record in their sets. Their label Optimo Music co-founded Selva Discos with Selvagem, and with The Ransom Note they launched the Watching Trees festival to mark 25 years as a duo. They played Dekmantel Selectors in 2017 and Dekmantel Festival in 2018.
