Oyubi

Oyubi is a DJ and producer from Tokyo who started out in 2017 with a background that takes in jazz, dubstep, drum and bass and jungle. His music now centres on ghetto tech, juke and footwork: fast, physical rhythms built with close attention to structure and sound design, so the tracks push past the usual genre rules. He co-runs the Turing label with Fetus, has released on Japanese and international labels, and has drawn support from Ben UFO, Objekt and Kush Jones. His album White Birch Burns on TREKKIE TRAX tests how beat music holds up at full length. Oyubi played Dekmantel's Lentekabinet before a run of European dates.
