Parallel 9

Parallel 9 is one of the longest-running aliases of Amsterdam producer Steve Rachmad, a figure integral to the Dutch techno scene and tied to Detroit's warm pads and grooves for three decades. It sits beside STERAC, Black Scorpion, Tons of Tones, Ignacio and Scorp in a catalogue where each name covers a different facet of his music. Parallel 9 records date back to 1995, among them Q, Technique, Index on Music Man Records, Dominus and Magnetic Reversal, and the name has also carried remixes for Christian Smith on Tronic and for .Vril. The music keeps finding its way into DJ sets, among them Richard Akingbehin's dub techno mix for the Dekmantel Podcast.
