Planetary Assault Systems

Planetary Assault Systems is the best-known alias of Luke Slater, the English producer born in Reading in 1968 who was DJing at London's Heaven during the acid house boom of 1988. Alongside records as The 7th Plain, Clementine, L.B. Dub Corp and under his own name, the project began on Peacefrog in the nineties, where Slater released nearly a dozen records as The X-Tront and Planetary Assault Systems. The alias later found a home on his own Mote-Evolver label, founded in 2006, and on Token and Ostgut Ton. Of all his aliases it is the most influential, a name that has left a lasting mark on techno history over more than two decades. Slater played it at Dekmantel Festival in 2013.
