Randomer

Rohan Walder has been releasing as Randomer since around 2008, when he cut drum and bass and dubstep for labels such as Audio Freaks and Alpha Cut. The London producer drifted through post-dubstep, house and broken beat on Tru Thoughts and Soul Jazz before settling into a stripped, ominous mode on Untold's Hemlock, where the 2013 single Bring became a club fixture. Records for Hessle Audio, Numbers, Clone Basement Series and L.I.E.S. sharpened a sound that sits at the metallic interface of jungle, techno and garage: slamming drums, detuned rave stabs, polyrhythms and a splash of dub. For Dekmantel UFO he delivered Running Dry and Slicing, two EPs of deep, spatial and abstract techno.
