re:ni

re:ni is Lauren Bush, born in Birmingham, raised in Dorset and based in south London. Her father was a DJ whose parties ran soul, hip hop, drum and bass and house, and a household with Rhythm & Sound, Kruder & Dorfmeister and LTJ Bukem on heavy rotation set her ear early. Drum and bass pulled her into DJing, and a student job at fabric alongside Mia Koden put her inside the club. Her debut EP Revenge Body came out on Munich's Ilian Tape, followed by BeautySick on Batu's Timedance. With Laksa she runs the south London party and label re:lax, she hosts a show on Rinse FM, and her sets join dub-wise techno to the wider lineage of UK dance music across tempos.
