Rebecca Vasmant

Glasgow DJ and producer Rebecca Vasmant brings a deep love of jazz into dance music. She ran the Made In Glasgow and Know The Way parties and a record fair with the Sub Club, and she started the jazz label Shiehallion. A monthly spot on BBC Radio Scotland saw her play contemporary jazz. Her house and techno sets were honed through a two-year residency at Cabaret Voltaire in Edinburgh and dates at the Arches and Back To Basics, and touring for Ministry Of Sound took her to more than twenty countries. She also worked with the Ghanaian ensemble Kakatsitsi on a live show that fuses traditional rhythms with club music. She played Dekmantel Selectors in 2022 with Mafalda.
