Retrograde Youth

Felipe Marín was born in Bogotá and grew up in Medellín, where as Retrograde Youth he became part of the Colombian techno scene's move onto the international stage. He co-runs the collectives and parties Move and Culto, which brought DVS1, Silent Servant, Carlos Souffront, Aurora Halal, Veronica Vasicka and Intergalactic Gary to Colombia for the first time. His productions combine old wave and industrial sounds with tribal rhythms and modern dance music, drawing on lo-fi eighties production, post-punk and minimal wave, and have appeared on Delta Funktionen's Radio Matrix and on Pinkman in Rotterdam, including the EPs Earth Disorders Part 1 and We're Not Humans Anymore. His sets run from rare Italo and wave to acid, techno and house, and he has recorded for Operator Radio and Red Light Radio.
