REZZETT

REZZETT is the British production duo of Luke Blair and Jackson Bailey. Their first record came out in 2013, and their early EPs and the 2018 Rezzett LP were issued through The Trilogy Tapes, the label most closely tied to their sound. The music is lo-fi and deliberately scuffed: outsider house, wonky techno and jungle run through saturated drum machines and tape hiss, with titles such as Sexzzy Creep and Worst Ever Contender. The album Meant Like This followed in 2023, and Into the Boiling Darks, twenty-one tracks built from three years of jams recorded between London and Estonia, first appeared as a cassette for a series of Cav Empt parties before a release on their own label RZ. They performed live at Dekmantel Ten.
