Richard Akingbehin

British-Nigerian and Berlin-based, Richard Akingbehin co-founded the community radio station Refuge Worldwide and runs Kynant Records, a label for techno, dub and ambient music. Most of his projects revolve around deep and dubby sounds, and Kynant released the first new album in almost twenty years from the dub techno producer Tikiman. As a DJ he blends dub techno styles into spacious, unhurried sets of warm, supple and minimal rhythms that slowly build pressure, drawing on artists such as Parallel 9, Tikiman, Dialog and Delano Smith. He recorded his Dekmantel Podcast in the Refuge Worldwide studio and played Dekmantel Selectors in 2024.
