Rik Payne

Rik Payne is Rik de Rooij, a DJ from Arnhem and one of the founders of Juxtapose, the Dutch collective and club night built on unexpected combinations, where he has held a residency and shared bills with Aardvarck and Eaglemen at Luxor Live. His selections run from disco, hip hop and house to dancehall, dub, garage, jungle, soulful house and trip hop, mixed tightly and with an ear for the surprising record. He has recorded for Operator Radio in Rotterdam and played Amsterdam venues such as San Francisco bar with Cinnaman and BertBert. He played Dekmantel Selectors in Tisno in 2019 and the Listening Stage at Dekmantel Festival that same year, sets that lean on the slower, dubbier end of his crates.
