Serge
Serge Verschuur started DJing in the Netherlands in the late eighties, when residents played all night across any genre that kept people dancing, and that habit still marks his sets. He founded Clone Records in Rotterdam in 1993, releasing his own debut as Orx, and built it into a shop, distributor and network of labels: Clone Basement Series for techno, Royal Oak for house and Jack For Daze for jacking Chicago tracks, alongside Classic Cuts, West Coast, Loft Supreme and Aqualung. Clone has released Drexciya, Dopplereffekt, Adult., Alden Tyrell and Scott Grooves, and reissued Chicago pioneers Mike Dunn and Tyree. Serge plans records the way he plans sets, by location and mood, and moves between house, Italo disco, electro and techno.
