skyra is one of the local artists who has put Georgia's underground scene firmly on the map, not least through his regular appearances at Tbilisi's Bassiani club. His sound is deep but driving house music, bathed in lush melodics but never short on low-end power. He collaborates with Hamatsuki on live shows and on music for the Unforeseen label. His live sets layer smooth, supple, seductive drums with dreamy pads and neon melodies, glowing with late-night warmth and finding a balance between beauty and beat-driven hypnosis. He recorded Dekmantel Mix 499 as a one-hour live showcase.
