Slikback

Slikback is the Nairobi producer Freddy Njau, whose jagged, pressurised club music has run from Kenya's experimental underground to labels across Europe. His first EPs, Lasakaneku, Tomo and the Slip pair, came out on Hakuna Kulala, followed by a split with Soda Plains on PAN and DRS X with Shapednoise on Cosmo Rhythmatic. Since then he has put out a steady stream of self-released records, collaborations with Brodinski and Skrillex, and Data on Tempa in 2025. He has remixed Clipping., Tzusing and Nihiloxica, recorded a FACT mix, produced for Iceboy Violet and launched his own label, Xternal Domain. At Dekmantel Festival 2026 he shared UFO II with Brodinski.
