STERAC

STERAC is the name Amsterdam's Steve Rachmad gives to the darker and deeper side of his techno, one of many aliases alongside Parallel 9, Black Scorpion, Tons of Tones and Ignacio. Under it he has released on M-Plant, Tresor, Klockworks, Delsin, Mote Evolver and Indigo Aera, with warm, Detroit-rooted pads and firm grooves that have been reworked by Ricardo Villalobos, Vince Watson and Marc Romboy. The records rarely chase trends; they simmer and keep finding new generations of DJs. STERAC has played Awakenings, Berghain, Movement in Detroit and Fabric, and has been a regular at Dekmantel, from a Sterac Electronics set on the Selectors stage in 2015 to Dekmantel Ten and a back to back with ROD in 2025.
