Steve Rachmad

With more than four decades of electronic music behind him, Steve Rachmad has built a career driven by instinct, curiosity and a love for his craft. Born in Amsterdam, he began exploring and experimenting with records as a teenager, and his appetite for remixing and for synthesisers and drum machines led to a career as a prolific producer. A man of many identities, he records as Steve Rachmad, Sterac, Sterac Electronics, Parallel 9, Scorp, Tons of Tones and Black Scorpion, a catalogue that spans decades and countless releases. His relationship with Dekmantel stretches back to 2007, when he played one of its earliest club events, and he continues to release on Dekmantel Records and to appear across its festivals under several of his aliases.
