Steven Julien

Steven Julien is a London DJ and producer who first made his name as Funkineven, with early records on Eglo before he started his own Apron Records. Apron became the home for his raw, soulful take on house, techno and electro, and for artists such as Willem Mulder. Under his own name he released the album Fallen on Apron in 2016, a house album with detours into techno and ambient, followed by Bloodline in 2018 and Crown and G-OUT in 2023. In 2024 he mixed an instalment of the long-running DJ-Kicks series, running from Ryuichi Sakamoto and DāM-FunK to Kyle Hall, and he has hosted The Apron Show on NTS. He played Lentekabinet in 2018 and again in 2022 alongside Shy One.
