Stump Valley

Stump Valley are Alex and Francesco, a live production duo from Turin who keep a low profile and let the records do the talking. Their early EPs for Off Minor and Uzuri set out the sound: funk-driven house built on the 707 and the LinnDrum, with glossy soul, jazz chords and a tropical ease that recalls Larry Heard and Prins Thomas. After playing Dekmantel Festival, Selectors and Lentekabinet, they made their debut on the label with the double album Natural Race, which opens with Berlin vocalist Wayne Snow on the title track. Stump Valley also recorded Dekmantel Podcast 085.
