Sully

Sully is Jack Stevens, a producer and DJ from Norwich who has released since 2007 and become one of the key figures in jungle's return. He first made mutant dubstep and garage for Keysound, Astrophonica and Black Acre, with the album Carrier on Keysound in 2011, before turning to jungle on the 2017 album Escape, also on Keysound. His signature is using drums as a melodic instrument, pitching and phasing breaks until they sing, while adding elements the genre rarely touched. He works mainly in Renoise on a laptop, a minimal setup that suits his precise, haunting sound design at jungle tempo. In 2018 he founded his own label, Uncertain Hour, and he has also recorded for Fabriclive.
