Swayzak

Swayzak are James Taylor and David Brown, a London duo whose first singles Bueno and Fukumachi, followed by Speedboat and Low Rez Skyline, arrived in 1997 on their own Swayzak Recordings. Their debut album Snowboarding in Argentina came out in 1998 and was named album of the year by the dance magazine Mixer, setting out a minimal, dub-heavy take on tech-house that grew from the UK's tech-house movement of the nineties. Himawari, Dirty Dancing, Loops from the Bergerie and Some Other Country followed on !K7, and they mixed a compilation for Fabric; Tresor and Pagan also released their music. Taylor left in 2011, Brown continued with s_w_z_k in 2012, and the two reunited in 2023.
