Sybil

London-based Sybil is a DJ and storyteller whose sets travel from propulsive deep techno into hazy breaks, downtempo, trance, drone and full-throttle drum and bass, carried by emotional depth, textural clarity and a sense of space. A UK flair for genre fluidity and diagonal rhythms runs through her psychedelic techno. She has played Dekmantel, Sustain Release, Waking Life, Berlin Atonal, Dimensions, Nowadays and De School, and recorded mixes for Monument, Crack Magazine, Patterns of Perception and Mysteries of the Deep that shift between tempos with a clear narrative arc. Ambient sets are a core part of her practice, and since 2017 she has run Deep Mind Music, a mix series devoted to ambient, drone and experimental sound.
