TAYHANA
TAYHANA grew up in Caleta Olivia in Argentine Patagonia, moved to Buenos Aires to study film at ENERC, and co-founded the HiedraH Club de Baile collective there in 2013. Since relocating to Mexico City she has become a fixture of the NAAFI circle and of the city's queer underground. Her productions fold cumbia, dembow, reggaeton and Brazilian rhythms into mutant techno and rave pressure, and her DJ sets swing from the lurch of cumbia to hardstyle tempos. NAAFI released her debut album Tierra del Fuego, she runs her own label Encuentros Furtivos, and her co-production for Rosalía on Motomami earned a Latin Grammy. She has also worked with GAIKA, Lechuga Zafiro and Lafawndah.
